Position summary
The Accounts Associate will play a key role in supporting our clients by maintaining their books of accounts and preparing comprehensive financial statements using a cloud-based accounting software. This position requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client portfolios efficiently. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering exceptional service while ensuring compliance with reporting standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update books of accounts for assigned clients.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service and meet client deadlines.
• Provide support during audits and resolve client queries as needed.

Qualifications

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, IFRS and general ledger management.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a plus but not required.
